I think my body consists of 80% sugar right now… Today myself and all the pâtisserie girls had our first practical exam leading up to the end of our course at Silwood, Cape Town.
Being a pâtisserie course it consists of various components that we are trained in over the course of the year. Today we had to show skill in icing, floodwork biscuits, working with fondant (making petit fours), macarons and chocolate.
I was lucky enough to grab a few of all the beautiful works of art my class mates created today to photograph back at home. How talented are these ladies?! I can’t believe how much we’ve learned in a year. Big things to come 😉
Now it’s time to prep for our final baking practical in 2 weeks – keep your eyes on the blog for some more sweet eye-candy (oh, and bread).
